Solace was the most energetic puppy in the litter, always the first awake, the first to the food bowl and the last to sleep! It was this that caught the eye of Lee Gradwell when he came to visit the pups at 6 weeks old. Lee had been a long time RR owner competing in both conformation and obedience trials with his RRs and after the tragic death of his beloved "Falcor" at just 3 years old, he was looking for another RR puppy that he could compete with in his chosen discipline of Obedience.

Solace was too good not to show in the breed conformation ring, so she was shown to her title which she gained just after her first birthday. A beautiful girl with excellent movement, both front and rear drive, a pretty head and functional form that many Judges appreciated and recognised.

Solace won a number of top awards in the breed show ring and we were so proud of her. She was just starting to make a break through in the obedience ring too, when Lee took ill and her training was put on hold.

Unfortunately, Lee passed away in early 2019. Our beloved Solace is now residing with a wonderful family where she spends her evenings and weekends at Pony Club and has made great mates with her new feline pal.

Solace has matured into a beautiful, calm and considerate dog and she touches the hearts of everyone she meets.

RIP Lee - a wonderful friend and excellent ambassador for the RR breed - you are sorely missed.
